On 6 November Lucienne Renaudin Vary launched her debut album The Voice of the Trumpet, released by Warner Classics, in a concert at the new Seine Musicale in Paris. The repertoire of the album focuses on the link between the sound of the trumpet and human voice, featuring works from Baroque to jazz. Lucienne performed a diverse programme based on this repertoire under conductor Mathieu Herzog and the Ensemble Apassionato.
The album was released on 14 October and features Orchestre National de Lille, conductor Roberto Rizzi Brignoli and soloists Rolando Villazón and Erik Truffaz.
